Help me hold the banner of peace.

Upon examination the historical cycles reveal a perpetual discontent on the part of mankind and an unwillingness to yield those egocentric expressions which have produced the seeds of war, hate and distrust…Whenever the face of a new year presents itself, mankind’s proneness to accept the superstition that the year itself will be productive of either good or ill is an inherent weakness.
The strength of achievement is brought about through united effort and through the intelligent direction of energy and facility.  By relinquishing negative and unwanted characteristics in the individual and in society there is provided a first step in achieving a world peace.  Karma-making factors must be eliminated and the world must be imbued with willingness to walk to the river of unity together--and to take the responsibility of wading out beyond the ankles.  The strong swimmers from among mankind must take the lead in probing the channels of every possibility for victory.
At our meeting in the Grand Teton this year and the occasion of the glorious visit of the Seven Holy Kumaras the thoughtform for the year was released as a golden anvil.  Wherever this thoughtform is used it is our suggestion that the brightest possible gold be employed in creating it.  We also suggest that the word freedom be placed above it, denoting that mankind’s chains may be broken upon an anvil of freedom and as a reminder that once every form of tyranny and slavery have been abolished, responsibility does not thereupon cease; on the contrary that all must strive together in the great smithy forge of life through their own intelligently-directed efforts and through the great God-design to hammer out upon the great anvil of freedom, which is truly a golden anvil of illumined action, every necessary armor of righteousness, every necessary adornment and utensil of service, every right idea and every right action….
Long ago a gaunt figure, surveying the battlefields of Gettysburg, uttered these well-remembered words--“The world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.”  Beloved ones, may I from Shamballa remind you of the forerunners of progress who have dedicated themselves to the service of mankind and the holy cause of Godliness.  Let everyone who would decipher the keynote for this year see it as an anvil of service, a golden anvil whereupon mighty benefactions shall be fashioned for the good of the world and the freedom of all men.  As we move forward toward peace with caution exercised on every hand and faith in God in whom we trust, let all persevere so the divine intent shall gleam more brightly.
Lovingly in God’s name I AM,

Gracious Mankind of Earth,
The true elegance of Spirit, the gift of divine grace, is every man’s portion.  But senseless delays little understood by embodied mankind have interspersed themselves between the great Source-Giver and the child-man recipient upon whom God would shower His bounty in a liberal fashion.  We come with tenderness now to evoke ancient memory in the minds of the many who are devoted to keeping the flame of sacred light of soul relationship to the Father-Source both active and directive in all lesser affairs.
The Greater always contains the lesser and would convey the power and the glory of eternal reality to the lesser.  This becomes possible when the sometimes feebly-flickering flame of reality is awakened enough in individual consciousness to emit its auric light around the precincts of being.  For only then do men distinguish the Presence of God in action in the outer world of form as the hand of holy reason and righteous concern who would bestow liberally of Himself and His wonders upon those creatures of his heart here below in the world of form.
Crown then, thy being with awareness of His reality and make that reality thine own.  For only by so doing can the counsels of God become more real to thee than the strident voices of mankind who shout not so much that they might be heard as to drown out the still small voice of conscience and of eternal utterance which has been placed within them, whether they know it or know it not.
There is no need for the children of the Sun to hide in the den of the cockatrice or to run from the forces that seek to lay them waste.  Neither these forces nor those who employ them or permit themselves to be employed by them shall endure; surely the day shall come when they shall be no more, but the Lord liveth forever. …
God flashes forth His peace, and it is not without power nor is it without love nor is it without intelligence.  Current trends of the world’s thought, of the world’s discord, of the world’s vanity which have brought distress to many of the sincere through the years must not permanently trouble your hearts.  You have heard the Master’s promise “Where I AM, there ye may be also,” and I think that all of Hierarchy upon the planet contemplate with ever-new joy the prospect of new souls coming to understand, one by one, the fragrance of the divine appearing.
Men then are caught up, one by one, into higher understanding; and so the harvest in the manifold segments of the world is not so much the happening of one day but of the brilliance of the eternal day seeping its way, yearning its way, glowing its way fervently into the minds and hearts of men until they can steal away from the fashion of the world with joy and with rapture to find their peace in God—who is ever not only peace but love, actively engaged in bringing forth freedom and accomplishment for mankind.
For the Lord, blessed ones, is the Great Doer, and no greater doer has ever been or will ever be.  This Lord of the Universe that beats your heart, that is your shield in time of sorrow is also your buckler in time of rejoicing; for even as the time of rejoicing is the moment to be on guard, so the moment of sorrow is the moment to prepare for God-tidings.  Albeit the world has drunk the dregs of sorrow through many a day of sadness and chaos, the hopes of God are scattered on the fields of the earth as newly-cut wheat at harvest, ripe and mellow, awaiting the threshing.  The grains of great goodness, the manna of cosmic purpose, the lusty cry of the young manchild—all are heard and all are seen and all are helped by manifestation, by visualization, by realization!
Separations which men imagine do not exist.  The great proximity of every man to God must be sought and acquired and when it is found, blessed ones, it must be the treasure of every man’s being.  Without the harvest of the fruit of sowing men could not gather into the granaries of memory the precious birth of new ability, the precious strengthening of the right arm, the precious inflaming of the fires of the heart, the priceless reality of the infinite way of God.  They are all yours, they are mine, they are ours to share.
Shall we raise the banner of Shamballa over the earth?  Then let no part of the world be separated from the influence of our banner.  The peace of God that keepeth every heart in stability is conveyed to you in this epistle from my heart as from the loving Christ Presence seated beside me; for this day on my right hand is the abundant Christ, and on my left is the great Lord Maitreya.  We are seated here upon the golden lotus throne which God has provided us with here at Shamballa.  We honor the holy Trinity of Being--the great triune expression of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit--those Three in One which agree in all.
May the mantle of God enfold the earth.  May the mantle of God enfold thy heart.    I AM

………………………………………………………………………….........................…….
 Precious Ones,
The holy breath which God has released to every child-man cometh into the infant Messiah for the redemption of all substance and energy that has ever been released to that one since the first magnificent fire-spark creation went forth from the being of God.  The Infinite One has bent the bow of his identity and as the Infinite Archer He has sent forth the arrow’s individuality not to fall upon the earth but to rise in cosmic works and achievement as children of his heart robed in his splendor and consecrated to his ideals.
The breath of God, the holy breath, makes the body and mind to stand up.  It provides the starch of being which gives to it and to substance the sheen of Life.  Without the Spirit man would truly be dead indeed, devoid of Life, invested only with the memory of that which has been.  Infused with the Spirit man becomes a being of hope and promise fulfilled as in the manifestation of the ‘only begotten’ of the Father.
The hope of the Christ was lavishly bestowed upon man when the first going forth from His heart occurred and the first paeans of praise returned to God for the reality of Being.  When the Creator issued forth the first and ‘only begotten’ of His heart the very words of infinite Being were uttered and the Son, turning to the full-orbed face of the Father, declared:  “I AM.”
The name of God, the sweetest name, was thus uttered as an affirmation of identity, and the Son was enfolded with the mantle of the I AM Presence of the Being of First Cause, of the transcendence of God; and the Son acting in the Father’s name did perforce become the agent of creation, co-creator with the Holy Spirit and infuser of all life with the triune quality of the threefold flame of love, of wisdom and of power.
Unparalleled beauty is in this concept; and as it is the story of every man it makes the story of Christ-nativity of double, of triune, of infinitely squared meaning, directly proportionate to the God-realization of the individual.
Now then with the advent of the approaching holy festivities I anxiously await the release of a more intense action of the Christ consciousness to infiltrate the mind and being of man with a more potent release than ever before of that sacred charge of identity which is the Being of the Father.  I know full well that men approach these seemingly abstract concepts with some awe, with some trepidation, with some concern.  But I say as the representative of the Holy Spirit:   Let them approach the Father with holy gratitude held in hand, let them approach with joy, let them approach with no sense of terror; for He is the Light, and if men ought to fear at all it is to fear the darkness in themselves.  If men ought to retreat at all, it is to retreat from the terrors they have created and spewed out upon one another.  If they are to flee at all, it is from the wrath that is to come upon those unchaste attitudes of mind which, in the wretchedly human sense of false justice, corrupt one another and defraud one another of the immortal birthright while denying the Lord who has brought them every gracious gift….
Only the few have grown up in Christ-magnificence.  Only the few in every age have felt a measure of the fullness of Christ-stature.  Only the few have been resurrected and raised on high from the mortality of dead works.  Only the few have ascended from the mountaintops of the world, from the summits of their being, and only the few on this planet by comparison to the many have passed through the narrow gate that leads to emancipation and freedom.
The rest, through the mercies of God which endure forever, have suffered the pangs of birth and death again and again, and they have felt the surge of Life through their beings again and again without ever becoming ‘the quick’.  These have remained in the devoid state of lacking enough divine grace, enough of the essence of the Holy Spirit to give them the body and substance of soul which would drive them toward God with such a mighty heart-thrust as to set them free from the dust of self-extinction whereby men play out their roles and their tiny flames upon the wanton dissipation of name or fame without ever laying claim to that wondrous glory of supreme identity, the Christ-majesty of the Son of God.
The way of the cross, the meaning of the cross, is not made known to them.  They have fabricated it into the cement of a religious theology and they have not translated it into the upsweep of the ascended majesty of a Christ in service, a Christ in action, a Christ in resurgence from the tomb of mortality, and a Christ ascended.  It was to this fourfold majesty of service and progress that the angels sang and the “Peace on earth, good will toward men” expressed in his aura then, as he lay but a babe enfolded in the glory of heaven.  For the Christ was worth the journey of the three kings of the East, he was worth the journey of the shepherds to his dwelling place, he was worth the journey of the angels to behold him—born King of all that is real in life.
Hail!  O incarnate Word!  Hail!  O majestic Spirit of the Lord!  Hail!  O mighty two-edged sword!  Hail!  O Good Report, for all who have believed thee shall indeed have the mysteries of eternal Life revealed to them!
Grateful for opportunity to serve you, I AM

It is not enough merely to appropriate the simple flow of life in the body, the simple flow of intelligence and sensory grasp in mind and nerve, but man must also expand and nourish the senses of soul.  He must heal ingratitude and doubt and fear and that which would thrust him down into the dark and cover over the precious sparkling flood of opportunity which God lavishes upon those whom he loves.
The love of God, the fire of God, the purity of God are real.  To us who behold Him face to face His beauty is incomparable and indescribable.  In wordless adoration we pour out unuttered feelings of joy.  But we admonish you upon the planet Earth whose hearts yearn to be fruitfully employed in divine service to recognize your great cosmic birth, the birth of the soul, the birth of identity, the birth of Christ-awareness in the gentle folds of divine Selfhood, for the mantle of God is over thee when thou wilt accept the incarnate Word.  And whether thou manifest in masculine or feminine form service can be rendered through thy vehicle and the solitary vehicle of thy consecrated life.  There is no higher office, there is no loftier way than the way of expanding the kingdom of God upon earth.
In an age of materialism when the bulwarks and bastions of the world are determined to keep active an entrenched system which has again and again exhibited the fallacies of humanity and the attendant failures of those fallacies it is needful for many sons to come to a state of captivity to the mind of God not as slaves but as willing son-servants of His beauty and His kingdom.  It is needful that ambassadors be appointed by heaven from amongst mankind presently in embodiment.
It is as great a boon today, as it always has been in the eyes of the ascended hosts for an individual to receive from the Cosmic Mother the gift of Life, the borned of her annunciation, that moves with swiftness from the heart of God into Christ manifestation in an individual’s being.  You cannot deny this reality; you can but affirm it with every action of your life, with every feeling of your mind, with every fiber of your being!
I infuse you this day with the annunciation that I gave to Mary of old:  Hail!  Thou that are highly favored of God!    The Lord is with thee and with thy spirit.  Blessed art thou, offspring of the Cosmic Mother.
      Gratefully, I AM

…..……………………………………………………………………...................,..,.,,,,.…
The summoning of hope is an art of inestimable value.  The relative size of the world order often proves overwhelming, tending to lose the individual in a mass of confusing elements.  With hope let men summon the banner of peace and establish it within the magnetic emanation that surrounds the spine and the medulla oblongata.  Let men think about the effects of their thoughts and feelings upon others--not alone in their immediate environment but also in the total world complex.  Thoughts can be banners of truth, integrity, virtu and loveliness benefiting a world order or they can be swiftly flying arrows poisoning the atmosphere.
Unfortunately the man-made concepts about Christmas are put away as seasonal ornaments, and with loud outcries mingled with fear and personal hope men pass through the fleeting portals of the new year.  While the pivot-point of selfhood is for the moment occupying a relatively fixed position, the self-imposed expansion-tethers (which outline the field of possible individual attainment) are of varying lengths, affording the individual expression of selfhood the limited opportunity to roam at will the field of mortal and immortal concepts.  The markings of each year signify the completion of an era and, viewed from mortal levels, can be taken with mingled joy and sobriety.
Here in Shamballa where we have entered into a full discussion of greater self-mastery for all of mankind we have determined to send out into the ethers and--with this epistle--a carefully thought-out program of expansion for each lifestream.  It is a foregone conclusion that the nature of individuals and their sense of values range from mild doubt to repudiation and from a questioning acceptance to a burst of cosmic enthusiasm.  Thus from center to the right and to the left does the consciousness of mankind swing as a pendulum through both the yin and yang of reality and shadow.
Among the most desirable hopes for every year is the glorious attitude that positively accepts the dictums of God, the blessings of His Laws, the tenderness of His reality, the surging capacity of His love and the radiance of his illumination as the cup of joy by which aspiration is translated into actuality.  Beloved Saint Germain has declared that “joy is the motivating power of life,” and I say to you today that without happiness in that which you are doing, the road would be extremely difficult.  However men and women who seek deliverance from any form of bondage should ever remember that habits once learned can become difficult to discard.  The part of wisdom then is to form benign habits that will stretch the being of man through the whole stratum of reality and hold it there until God can secure it for the beloved son, whose acceptance of righteous patterns then becomes enduring.
The chaff of life often fills the air even at the time of harvest.  Some perceive it as a cleansing, others as a cloak of darkness.  We see it as the Law fulfilling itself through the boundless cycles of being and providing highways of opportunity for young and emerging souls.  These tender souls are coming out of dense human relations, karmic grossness, manifest coarseness of nature and crude anomalies in their beings to a point of reference where, suffering what amounts to either mild discontent or extreme unhappiness with themselves, they desire to pursue the way that purifies the path of the future.  Blatant self-condemnation and a sense of judgment for past errors is often a great deterrent to progress yet under some circumstances it can provide a prick upon conscience which will help the individual to aspire to improve the nature of self and enhance its coming of age into its own beautiful light-reality….
Christendom basks in mass acceptance in the West yet it is not without flaw.  Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam, with other religious expressions, vie with one another in the East yet they are not without flaw.  The answer in the world domain, as we see it, is still the coming of God into manifestation in the world of the individual to produce the seeming miracle of Christ’s reality.  This blessedness of natural expression with its pristine purity requires the renunciation of mortal aims on a temporary basis in order that the aspirant may seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then trust in the natural order of divinity to mold and shape the perfection of the eternal world right around and through the lattices of human expression.
While it is true that some do break through into the kingdom of heaven and lay hold upon and claim divine power for themselves to which they are not yet entitled, while it is true that there are in vogue and in practice expressions of what has been termed black magic or witchcraft--running as a thread of shadowed substance through human misuse of life’s energies, carried on by those who seek to effectuate personal control over the lives of others and to serve on a cooperative basis with the negative forces of the planet in creating a miasma of confusion in society, politics and religion--it is also true that in ignorance few of these know what they do.
We can call for their forgiveness while pointing out that the truth of the Laws of Almighty God embodies its own reward of freedom, its own code of integrity and honor and the karmic grace of assisting each lifestream who practices the golden rule.  As above so below, the enduring joy of clearing one’s personal record from the spoilings of all past ages may be  victoriously experienced together with the reward of the purity of salutary expression and salubrious assistance to wretched multitudes in the grip of psychic forces, whose dangers they seldom reckon with because of a lack of right personal knowledge….
Our decisions can be of little assistance, precious ones, without the cooperation of our chelas and disciples scattered round the planet.  The fervor and devotion for the universal cause on the part of many of the recipients of our weekly communications have provided the necessary spiritual climate for contemporary man, enabling us before the Lords of Karma to endorse new measures of assistance.  Fervent causes when supported cannot and do not fail.  The vital energies invested in such causes remain forever an expanding embrace of light for all men in all time to come.
Tireless and sincere, the light emanations of the sons of God upon this planet are a mounting tide of celestial assistance whose untold, unheralded, and unsung records constitute one of the great love-treasures of the world whose enduring worth will one day be revealed as the indomitable force of light’s victory unto humanity.  It is ever a source of amazement to the faithful of our unascended chelas to perceive the disbelieving attitude of some of those who have been exposed to the Sacred Host (Eucharist), the body of Christ-truth which constitutes ascended-master ideals, who then give their attention so freely to the peepings and mutterings of maudlin sentimentalities, self-glorification, and distortions of truth, uttered in the name of God but without His sanction….
Precious ones, the Infinite can scarcely hold back the manifestation of just such a joyous expression of longed-for divine reality, but you must remember that the sovereign quality of individual freewill cannot be lightly dishonored even by the Deity.  If men desire to express error, whether they are ignorant of it or not, they will do so and as much as it can be argued that the omnipotence of God gives Him the power to overthrow human will, the fact that He has not done so is an indication in favor of the original premise—that man’s freewill is sovereign in his domain.  But I declare for all time, this is a higher favor than men at first supposed, for it permits them to learn through their mistakes and to overcome by the intensification of their desire for righteousness, even as they have been overcome by a misplaced desire for unrighteousness.
It is safe to say, I think, that many of the unrighteous have supposed themselves to be acting in good grace, and while the Law has often expressed the quality of mercy to these, it is never possible to erase the blight of wrong sowings until the individual is finally given instructions either below or above as to what constitutes true right action….
In the world of form as the Laws of Light strike the dense solidity of men’s negative concepts these Laws will always cast their shadow upon the ground.  Only when the being and body of man is purified by the vibratory action of the light itself will there be no shadow—no resistance to the fulfillment in man of the divine intent.  Thus the Law has its counterpart “as above so below,” and there is a jurisprudence administered by the Karmic Board which creates, in a manner superior to automatic processing perfected directives to each person upon the planet showing how he might escape all error if he will follow these directives in minute detail even to their most subtle implications.  Such instructions however personal are always centered upon the golden rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
Escape from the karmic round and freedom from all inordinate desire are the intent of God for every creature, but it must always be remembered that the bond of human sympathy is a shadowed, false counterpart of divine compassion.  For sympathy always reinforces human bondage, while compassion seeks by the expression of truth to bring mankind speedily to his ultimate freedom.
Now inasmuch as the power of truth is ever mounting, inasmuch as the way of grace is ever being made plain, let all understand and feel that although the smoke of battle may not be cleared away from the world order for some time, although destructive forces may often seem by their tirades and mass hypnotic control to win many a battle, all of this is but a seeming--that which seemeth to be but is not—and not an actualization.  Thus the debris remaining in the world order will ultimately be cleared.  Be comforted by the knowledge that your efforts are never in vain. Those who tell you so would deter all planetary progress and keep the seething, raging seas of mortal feeling in a constant state of fear mingled with hope.
Our desire in this new year message is to point out that each clearly defined manifestation of truth, each textual release of knowledge from our sphere is a concrete manifestation embodying the hieroglyphs of true spiritual hope which are actually held before the inner sight.  To lift the purposes of life into the grand and noble perspective which God employed in the construction of the universe is to show every man that regardless of his present state, the celestial cures remain active as Life Principles.
These Principles must be learned.  These rungs upon the ladder of the Laws of Life must be climbed.  There is no escape, nor indeed can there be, from the plan and simple way of the radiant Christ in manifestation within thyself.  May the footprints thou dost make upon the sands of life be his own as the light from within thyself shines through thy flesh form, sparkling with radiant ascended-master love, virtue and honor and impinging upon all of life the grace that God is to thee.
This thou shalt not easily lose.  This thou shalt not separate from thyself.  This will be thy transcendent faith replacing the “wings of Icarus” which, being affixed with wax, did melt from the heat of the Sun (of righteousness) causing him to fall to the earth.
Thou shalt arise instead by a faith secure
In the God-domain that shall endure,
And never be moved
By mortal shadows upon the screen—
No matter how real they now may seem—
For in the light of days to come
Compassionate works will be well done,
And peace will reign in every heart
Because the soul of truth imparts
The shining wonder of the goal,
Dispensing light to every soul,
Proclaiming to thee, I AM shall be
Thy being’s sole reality.
Help me hold the banner of peace.  The staff upon which every ascended master’s hand is placed has room for thine own.  I AM in faith, hope and charity the servant of God for the Earth at Shamballa,
