On Monday, the jury in the case acquitted the officer on charges of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter.  In interviews after the verdict, two jurors, a man and a woman, said that instead of contradicting the officer’s account, the video showed the punch that prosecutors had maintained never happened.  The two jurors, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they feared retaliation over the verdict, said they saw the blow to the officer when they watched the video on a laptop and zoomed in on Mr. Small at the driver’s side window of Officer Isaacs’ car.
“His head kind of goes all the way down,” one of the jurors, a man, said. “Then you see his shoulder come up very clearly, and strike forward.  His shoulder drops down.”
The revelation cleared up any doubt among jurors that Officer Isaacs had been hit, he said:  “It was black and white in a video, you know.”...
“Here’s this man who is walking up out of nowhere, and he doesn’t know why, and this man punches him in the face,” the male juror said, echoing the officer’s defense. “He’s kind of nervous and afraid for his life, and that’s why we believe he was justified.”
On Monday, the one or two remaining jurors who had been undecided joined the others in voting to acquit, the jurors said.  https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/08/nyregion/nypd-off-duty-shooting-wayne-isaacs-delrawn-small.html      *** see below

Small had consumed three alcoholic drinks at the barbecue, a fact highlighted by the defense, which claimed he was legally intoxicated at the time. The assertion was dismissed by the prosecution, which noted that Small was a big man who had spread the drinks out over several hours.
From there, the two sides' narratives diverge. According to prosecutors, Isaacs cut off Small in traffic on Atlantic Avenue before stopping at a red light at Bradford Street, prompting Small to get out and confront the off-duty officer. In his opening remarks, Nieves told jurors that Isaacs fired three times in a second.
“This case is about the brutal murder of an unarmed man,” Nieves said. “The evidence will show that the defendant shot and killed Delrawn Small and that he had absolutely no legal justification to do so.”  https://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20171023/downtown-brooklyn/delrawn-small-wayne-isaacs-trial-opening-statements

The officer was hugged by a defense lawyer and was then rushed out of the building to avoid any confrontation with Small's outraged relatives.
"Decided not to pull out his badge, not to roll up his window, not to drive off, not to show his department ID, but to pull a damn gun out.  And he's not a murderer?" said Victor Dempsey, Small's brother.
The jury of whites, blacks, one Asian, and one Hispanic deliberated over parts of three days.  http://www.ny1.com/nyc/brooklyn/news/2017/11/06/wayne-isaacs-trial-

11-30-17    Speaking on a visit to the Belarussian capital Minsk, Russ FM Lavrov asked whether America was actively seeking to destroy North Korea.
"One gets the impression that everything has been done on purpose to make Kim Jong-un snap and carry out further inadvisable actions," he said.  The Americans, he said, "should explain to us all what they're after".
"If they want to find a pretext for destroying North Korea, as the US envoy said at the UN Security Council, then let them say it outright and let the supreme American leadership confirm it."
Calling for new talks with North Korea, Mr Lavrov added:  "We have already emphasised several times that the squeeze of sanctions has essentially come to an end, and that those resolutions which introduced the sanctions should have included a requirement to renew the political process, a requirement to renew talks.  But the Americans completely ignore this requirement and I consider this a big mistake."   http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-42179221

11-30-17  Vassily Nebenzia told an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Wednesday that Russia is "deeply disappointed" at North Korea's long-range ballistic missile launch Tuesday, stressing that Moscow doesn't support Pyongyang "becoming a nuclear power."  He says Russia is strongly calling on all parties to stop the "spiral of tension."
Wu Haitao reiterated the China-Russia proposal for North Korea to suspend all nuclear and missile tests and the U.S. and South Korea to suspend all military exercises.  He says, "We hope it will elicit a response and support."  http://www.kansascity.com/news/article187165203.html
