1) Why did Shi say that the miners had died of fungal disease when the evidence and Zhong Nanshan’s diagnosis pointed to a primary viral illness, most probably due to Sars-like coronaviruses from the horseshoe bats in the mine?…A PhD thesis, also found by Seeker268@twitter, mentioned that the four miners in 2012 were tested for Sars antibodies, and they had IgG antibodies. But in November 2020 2) Shi denied this fact….
Mysteriously, several databases of WIV which were online are now offline. The most important of all was a viral database which had information about 22,000 coronavirus samples, 16,000 of them from bats! This database went offline in September 2019. The reason, according to 3) Shi’s statement to a WHO-China joint investigation team, was that there were more than 3,000 hackers. The question is, what were the hackers seeking in September 2019, when there was no trace of the pandemic? This fact casts doubts on the whole thing….
Later on, it became clear that Shi and her WIV lab had collected eight more Sars-like coronavirus samples from the same mine between 2012 and 2015. And still, at the beginning of the pandemic, when they published their first paper about the outbreak, they mentioned RaTG13 but neither its old name, Ra4991, nor its connection to the Mojiang mineshaft and the pneumonia outbreak was mentioned.
Were the Chinese scientists afraid of getting traced to the mine, which was the birthplace of a Covid-like illness in the miners? In a recent interaction session in a webinar, 4) Shi replied that the miners’ samples did not have any Sars-like coronaviruses. Surprisingly, it seems that they had retained these samples, and tested them against Covid-19 and found them negative.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology has thousands of bat coronavirus samples. These were mainly from Yunnan and Guangdong provinces. Shi and her lab collected all these samples and have developed techniques for creating recombinant or chimeric viruses. They also use reverse genetics and create pseudo-viruses. They have done experiments to insert spike genes into the backbone of many viral genomes for creating chimeric viruses. These chimeric viruses are then tested for their ability to infect human cell cultures and humanised mice. According to them, this information would help predict the likelihood of spillover, the jump of a coronavirus from bats to people….
Ralph Baric told the Italian television programme Presa Diretta: “You can engineer a virus without leaving any trace.” For at least ten years, in the two most advanced labs in the world, in North Carolina and Wuhan, researchers have used seamless techniques to combine genetic material of different types of viruses without leaving scars in the joints between one piece and another. https://www.theweek.in/theweek/cover/2021/06/03/how-an-indian-scientist-couple-worked-to-trace-origin-course-of-covid-19.html

Paper by a student at Kunming Medical University in 2013 titled "The Analysis of 6 Patients with Severe Pneumonia Caused by Unknown Viruses." In exhaustive detail it described the conditions and step-by-step treatment of the miners. It named the suspected culprit: "Caused by SARS-like [coronavirus] from the Chinese horseshoe bat or other bats." Seeker268@twitter.com dropped the link, without fanfare, on May 18, 2020, then followed up with a second thesis from a PhD student at the Chinese CDC confirming much of the information in the first. Four of the miners had tested positive for antibodies from a SARS-like infection. And the WIV had been looped in to test samples from them all. https://www.newsweek.com/exclusive-how-amateur-sleuths-broke-wuhan-lab-story-embarrassed-media-1596958

The first company in the United States to enter clinical trials with a vaccine for the virus was funded by DARPA. So was the second company….In addition to Moderna, two other pharmaceutical companies--Pfizer and CureVac--are pursuing RNA vaccines, as is a small laboratory at Imperial College in London and the People’s Liberation Army Academy of Military Sciences in China. CureVac was also funded by DARPA….
Inovio Pharmaceuticals, funded by DARPA, entered Phase 1 trials for its DNA-delivered covid-19 vaccine in April, making it the second company to enter trials in the United States….
When covid-19 arrived in the United States the DARPA program’s participants--AbCellera, Vanderbilt University, Duke University and AstraZeneca--had already done test runs with various viruses to see where they could cut time on their quest to hit the 60-day goal (of producing an antibody).

A list of grants and contracts for EcoHealth Alliance posted on the website of Independent Science News shows DTRA and the Pentagon provided the group with $38.9 million since 2014. DTRA’s funding included $6.49 million between 2017 and 2020 for what the agency called “understanding the risk of bat-borne zoonotic disease emergence in Western Asia.” https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/may/4/pentagon-officials-wuhan-institute-virology-did-no/

12-16-20 To be strictly fair to the media, Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance obscures its Pentagon funding. On its website EcoHealth Alliance states that “A copy of the EHA Grant Management Manual is available upon request to the EHA Chief Financial Officer at finance ( at ) ecohealthalliance.org”. But an email to that address and numerous others, including Peter Daszak’s, requesting that Manual, as well as other financial information, was not returned. Neither were repeated voicemails.
Only buried under their “Privacy Policy,” under a section titled “EcoHealth Alliance Policy Regarding Conflict of Interest in Research,” does the EcoHealth Alliance concede it is the “recipient of various grant awards from federal agencies including the National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and the US Agency for International Development and the Department of Defense.”
Even this listing is deceptive. It obscures that its two largest funders are the Pentagon and the State Department (USAID); whereas the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which accounts for a minuscule $74,487, comes before either. https://www.independentsciencenews.org/news/peter-daszaks-ecohealth-alliance-has-hidden-almost-40-million-in-pentagon-funding/
