1) I think heaven finds it a bit amusing that the laws of science are so highly honored by mankind and yet so poorly applied to spiritual things. Is not the whole the sum of all of its parts? And who can put his arms around all that is and embrace it? Is a grain of diamond dust any less a diamond than a ten-karat stone resting in the turban of a Mogul emperor? I cannot refrain however from commenting on the fact that by ignorance as well as deliberate misdirection the mankind of Earth today in the main are far from the beaten path of the spiritual devotee that leads to the narrow gate.
2) Religion and science are opposite poles of the same rod. Without science, religion cannot flourish; for true science produces the fruit of divine intelligence to relieve drudgery and provide all with the opportunity to pursue happiness in the onward march of man’s spiritual progress. Yet true religion affords the means whereby the mind is freed to sense the blessedness of becoming one’s brother’s keeper, not as a mogul of power to rule over one’s fellowmen but as a member of the same human family, not so much dedicated to defend one’s nationalistic and racial differences as to draw close to the strands of immortal brightness held ever within the tenets of the brotherhood.
One of the great founding strengths of America was her Constitution. The more the inalienable rights of man can be regarded and freedom enhanced for the people of the world, the more quickly the discordant manifestations that are so unappetizing to men of perception can be eliminated.
3) Therefore the Karmic Board has granted tonight a special dispensation whereby a magnificent, cosmic charge of light would actually infuse the Taj Mahal that out of its turrets and minarets, that from its very substance the sacred-fire light would pulsate, that the ascended masters’ councils could accept the beauty of its imagery and endow it as a focus of the spiritual activity of your pilgrimage. And therefore in one very real sense in memory of Shah Jahan, in memory of the beauty of his love for his spouse we urge upon you all to understand that your first love is the Spirit of Truth. And for this reason we create the image of a miniature Taj Mahal which we place in the ark of your heart (for those willing) in memory of this journey. And we also see to it tonight that there is magnified within that ark, within that Taj Mahal in miniature the same radiance of light, the love of the eternal Father for the eternal Mother—the love of the Father for Mater.
4) Although the blind lead the blind and shall all fall into the ditch, there are great potential leaders among the youth, vital and courageous men and women who, proud of their ancient heritage and tradition, see that the banner of freedom must not be lowered and that the quality of life must be improved. These know that a correct appraisal of history will extend to man a view that will provide him with necessary understanding to make right decisions and to take a right course of action in this day and age.
5) Beloved sons and daughters, I remember well and I would remind you of my incarnation as Akbar. So Islam, the religion of my birth, Hinduism, the religion of my nation--so, juxtaposed midst all of this I did perceive that all religions were found wanting. Therefore I assembled the representatives of all faiths and sects within the larger religions that they might deliberate, that they might also convince me of their way. I had purposed in my heart to lead each group to the point of the realization of the quintessence of light of the Child whom I had seen at his birth hundreds of years before.
6) In this life Akbar set the stage of universality in India that has endured to the very present hour; and as you study his life you will know that those who are of the first ray never shirk their responsibility to enter into the fray and to challenge the evildoers who decade by decade and generation by generation have a continuity of purpose, which is to enslave and imprison the children of light in their institutions and in their organizations and controls.
7) Think of it, beloved. It is as though there were cement walls as thick as the Earth itself that would separate all avatars whom God has sent, all world teachers, all saints. What a pity it is, beloved, that the world cannot embrace all. Therefore in fulfillment of the great dream of Akbar he has sent his messenger to bring together the mystical paths of the world’s religions. This has been El Morya’s dream.
