8-17-20 The (sewage study) findings from Spain and Italy led Oxford University epidemiologist Tom Jefferson MD, Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Center For Evidence Based Medicine, to speculate that the SARS-CoV-2 virus did not originate in China. “I think the virus was already here--here meaning everywhere,” he told The Telegraph. “We may be seeing a dormant virus that has been activated by environmental conditions.”…
Lundgren of U. Copenhagen also questioned the findings from Spain, Italy, and Brazil. “They haven’t found the same virus,” he said, only “molecular evidence that there is shared genetic material.” The Spanish, Italian and Brazilian studies have not been peer reviewed, and some experts have suggested alternative explanations for the positive test results, including “the potential for a false positive due to the virus’ similarities with other respiratory infections,” Reuters reported. https://www.darkdaily.com/studies-finding-remnants-of-sars-cov-2-in-sewage-suggest-covid-19-may-not-have-originated-at-wuhan-market-some-scientists-dispute-the-findings/

10-23-20 Prof Davey Jones, an expert in soil and environmental science at Bangor University, was one of the researchers to get involved. He said: "We have been monitoring viruses like norovirus and hepatitis in human sewage for the last decade. We added Covid-19 to the list in March this year." https://www.bbc.com/news/health-54646451

12-1-20 Coronavirus was likely spreading in much of the U.S. last December--weeks before China told the officially recognized the new virus, a new study suggests. Blood collected by the Red Cross between December 13 and January 17 was later sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to be tested for antibodies to coronavirus. Testing revealed antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19 in 39 samples from blood donated between December 13 and December 16. Those donations were made in California, Oregon, and Washington. Another 67 samples taken between December 30 and January 17 from donors in the Midwest and Northeast were positive for antibodies, according to the Wall Street Journal….
Antibodies were present in 106--1.4 percent--of the donations collected between mid-December and mid-January. But 90 of the Red Cross samples were tested for antibodies very specific to SARS-CoV-2--immune proteins that the scientists had made sure were not cross-reactive with test for other coronaviruses. Of the 90, 84 samples were positive for these very specific antibodies. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-9006277/Coronavirus-spreading-December-17-study-finds.html

At the end of August the Netherlands revised the original order to end
mink breeding by 2024; mink farming will now be discontinued by spring, 20219-10. https://onehealth.ifas.ufl.edu/resources/animals-and-covid/…………………………………………………….
11-9-20 Mike Ryan, the WHO’s top emergencies expert, said “There’s always the potential that this can come back to humans. Mammal species like mink are very good hosts, and the virus can evolve within those species, especially if they are in large numbers packed closely together.” https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/virus-warning-over-fur-farms-22983754

coronavirus had jumped from humans to minks at European fur farms. Sure enough the mink version began to rapidly mutate. “You actually see the rapid evolution happening,”
Aline Chan said. “Just in the first few weeks the changes are quite drastic.”…Chan pointed out a detail no one else had noticed: COVID-19 contains an uncommon genetic sequence that has been used by genetic engineers in the past to insert genes into coronaviruses without leaving a trace, and it falls at the exact point that would allow experimenters to swap out different genetic parts to change the infectivity. That same sequence can occur naturally in a coronavirus, so this was not irrefutable proof of an unnatural origin, Chan explained, “only an observation.” https://www.bostonmagazine.com/news/2020/09/09/alina-chan-broad-institute-coronavirus/
