1) It is not enough, precious ones, merely to yearn for perfection. For the yearnings of the world have been mighty enough throughout the ages that if yearnings alone could have performed it, they would have freed ten thousand planets like unto this. Yet they alone have not produced perfection, for what is necessary is the mighty will, related to the power of God and expressed in the blue sky. And men must summon this power, the power of divine will within the whitefire core of their being, and as they summon this power it must become rigid like blue steel and it must cause them not to flinch as they come face-to-face with human recalcitrance.

2) Have compassion then for the twig that is bent. For the straight twig has no need of your ministration. It is aspiring to be free. It shall be free! But go unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Go unto those who know not that I AM real and that the children of God are they who acknowledge all that is real. These are the true and hallowed chosen ones who have accepted the reality of my kingdom come, of my Father’s kingdom, which shall come into manifestation in you. For how can it appear in the world at large, how can the planet be transformed, how can the Christ come again except through the handiwork of God?
3) The climb is over rigid heights, scaling jagged cliffs into the high road, over precipice and abyss into the mountains of the Himalayas. Souls are called and impelled into love, the love of mountaineers, the love of Elohim who have anchored their focuses in the heights of the mountains of Earth. Love and love alone is the key to overcoming, for God is love. Where selfishness lurks there will be compromise, there will be the moment’s hesitation and the battle is lost, the moment of indecision when idling of energy creates a gap in the spiraling and in flow and movement of God.
Therefore in the hour of decision, in the moment when the question arises out of that human questioning--to be or not to be on the path of initiation--we ask a question. For we are the hierarchs of Luxor, of the Retreat of the Ascension Flame. We guard the steely white intense sacred fire that can be contained only by those who live in the purity of love. Therefore while you are engaged in your human questioning of the Guru we ask the supreme question: how much do you love, how great is your love?…
There is a key to the disciplines of higher consciousness. The key is not to become entangled in the labyrinth of human questioning and fear and doubts and specters of the night that haunt that labyrinth. You do not have to trace the meanderings of carnal mind and human consciousness through all of the levels of the subconscious in order to come to the knowledge of truth, in order to come to reality or to overcome in love. The key is not to be drawn by curiosity or a fascination with horror or a gluttony for things of the senses, drawing you down into more and more astral experiences and psychic phenomena. The key instead of taking a thousand steps through the astral plane is to take one step into the arms of the I AM Presence, into the plane of Christ-mind where the oneness and wholeness of that Great Pyramid, the oneness and wholeness is the dissolving action.
Transcend your cycles! Do not follow those negative spirals round and round and down and down unto the death manifestation on the very crypt of the electronic belt. But with one invocation to the ascension fire let that flame leap and arc from spiral to spiral, consuming on contact the debris. The flame is not linear, it need not travel over the lines of human creation….
This means that in the moment when you would indulge your pettiness, your argumentation, your human nonsense, your dalliance in childishness, in that moment you instantly let go and let God be the light that swallows you up in the victory of love. And the love that is your victory is your own love that is God made manifest within you….Love God enough so that you do not need to satisfy human desire.

4) The harvest, beloved, is always symbolical of the harvesting of good karma and good works. And as you weed it is a very physical process of weeding out the bad karma and casting it into the sacred fire before it does choke out opportunities that will then come forth through good karma….
When one surges forward on a single line of the [cosmic] clock one must be careful that [the records and hang-ups charted on] other lines that have not been so transmuted do not pull one back to one’s former state. And this is why, beloved, it is so important to call for protection while the soul is strengthened so that the soul is not tempted to go back to the former self and therefore lose the ground that has been gained….
Lord Maitreya teaches that the Mystery School is for lifetime students, career students and career sons of God. One cannot afford to be outside of the Guru-chela relationship when one is on a path of acceleration. And when one does wish to leap forward beyond the current levels of self-mastery, one needs all the more the reinforcement of Community. Community does hold the hand of the disciple, does provide the love bond, does provide the care and reinforcement. Yet Community can never be a substitute for self-effort or [for] engaging in that inner walk with God and in the mighty work of the ages. One must have a straight spine and courage and determination to remain within the Community and the Mystery School and to keep [up] that striving daily. Striving itself is creative tension and it too must be balanced….
Let us say, beloved, that the mark of one who has this [bent] in his psychology to manifest human perfection is the mark of spiritual pride. It is also the mark of one who engages in excessive self-condemnation, which by and by becomes the condemnation of others. And so you see, beloved, that expectation that one should be a human god is antithetical to the path of Maitreya….And so, beloved, imperfections are always with the saints. It is not that you mourn them but that you are reminded that the human has the propensity to err, that the human is an imperfect vessel for the perfection of the Christ and that the imperfections that linger on the path of sainthood are not so vastly important to the spiritual overseers of the planet as they may be to yourselves….
I do not say these things by way of exonerating any from indulgence in human consciousness that is dangerous to themselves and that does set a bad example, especially to children and new students. I do say, beloved, that you should strive diligently to root out those things that you suppose would not be pleasing to your Christ Self. But to measure oneself on the path one should look to one’s heart capacity to love one another, one’s heart capacity to be compassionate and merciful, to be profoundly understanding of the burdens of another, to be able to give that love in the purest sense [that] is such a strong holding of the immaculate concept that people are healed by the very gaze, by the very flow of light [passing from your Presence to that] one [for whom you keep the flame of divine love]….
Blessed ones, that chela who leaps forward three steps and backward five is not happy. That chela may become discouraged to the point of becoming morose. No one can live that way. And if you allow yourself to do this repetitively, when you see yourself [doing it] and you know it ask for help. You need help [from] a wise counsellor. You need help from the ascended masters. By leaving oneself in that plight of repetitively falling into the same hole you see you are engaging in a certain level of defeatism, of hopelessness and even of spiritual pride [that says] that against all other indications to the contrary you are determined to go this alone and not to accept either the divine or the embodied helper.
