The nature and identity of God is fire. “Our God is a consuming fire.” The center of the minutest particle of substance is but an electronic ball of fire. Mankind have identified with the flesh; they have not understood the resurrection of consciousness from dead works. The concept of dead works implies that all that men do is a form of subservience to the transitory and carnal nature of man.

Thus the Lord Christ distinguished between the quick and the dead. Those who are quickened are released from stagnation, and they are the ones who have become a part of the great cosmic flow in Christ—that Cosmic Christ whom Jesus so personified that he became known as the Christ.…Thus there are those who have been quickened by the great cosmic flow. These are the freeborn. But when the vision of oneness descends to the level of relativity in matter, engendering a sense of separation from the central flame of life then the door of consciousness is opened not to Christ but to the dweller-on-the-threshold and to the fallen ones–discarnates, demons, and entities who seek a dwelling place in the tabernacle of God that has become the tomb of the living dead. Instead of desiring not to be the human ego, they have desired not to be God. The relics of these individuals still stalk the canyons of the cities of the earth as the living dead.
