Joint Chiefs call riot a ‘direct assault’ on the constitutional process, affirm Biden as next commander in chief

the Latin maxim semper necessitas probandi incumbit ei qui agit, a translation of which is:  "the necessity of proof always lies with the person who lays charges.”   Onus probandi incumbit ei qui dicit, non ei qui negat) is the obligation on a party in a dispute to provide sufficient warrant for their position.

One way in which one would attempt to shift the burden of proof is by committing a logical fallacy known as the argument from ignorance.  It occurs when either a proposition is assumed to be true because it has not yet been proven false or a proposition is assumed to be false because it has not yet been proven true.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burden_of_proof_(philosophy)

A commanded unity or conformity is usually not true unity.  Software programming is neither the forte of judges nor most veteran military.  Stepping on the gas might well lead us to more Molotov cocktails flying around.

Greater issues demand careful consideration and review, close review, even from unusual points of view.  Did the Joint Chiefs do that?   The 1-6-21 Capitol riot could be seen as either a trespass on Constitutional process or as  challenge to very bloated bureaucracy in a decaying heavily elite/privilege society.   In the recent election who first made a crucial and far-reaching claim, those saying it was legit or those challenging the claim that "It was legit, legit, legit and don't bother us with your trivia, your fantasies?"  But if the government is way overly bloated and bureaucratic, they will not cut the Gordian knot anyway.  Back to basics, anyone?        -r., mt. shasta
