5 prime untranslated region--first 265 bases of its genome (even before structural genes)

“I focused on the regulatory areas of the virus (5′ UTR)—first 265 bases of its genome (even before structural genes) and these regulatory sequences are so unique that I can’t imagine any natural means of their origin,” she told The Epoch Times, Czech Republic, via email.
The 5’ UTR, or the “five prime untranslated region,” is like the virus’s headquarters, according to Pekova.
“This regulatory center of the virus is responsible for all its life functions (primarily its replication—which is massive—and transcription of its downstream structural genes, which are then responsible for cell attachment and likely other observed phenomena),” she said.
Even though coronaviruses are prone to mutation the “headquarters” for each group remain the same and if it mutates, it must be to gain some sort of advantage, Pekova said in an interview published in March by Czech media production firm Leontynka.  https://nationandstate.com/2020/04/10/virologist-who-made-simplified-ccp-virus-test-backs-lab-origin-theory/
