How could we find the way in night's darkness?

III, ii, 16.  How did we cross deserts?  How could we avoid black arrows?  How could we bestride untamed steeds?  How could we sleep under the same tent with a traitor?  How were we able to better our lot while facing the fire of feather-grass of the desert?  How did we conquer the stones of the torrent?  How could we find the way in night's darkness?  How could we comprehend obscure wishes?  How did we discover the path of Life?  Verily by vigilance of the spirit.          -Leaves of Morya's Garden 1925

22.  Human thought has become bent like an untempered blade.  Chaos seethes in the depths of consciousness.        -M:  Agni Yoga 1929

158.  Learn how to guard the thread with the Teacher and to fill the heart with the Lord.  It must not be forgotten what is essential for an unswerving ascent.  Neither works nor circumstances nor character nor diverse reasons may erect barriers between disciple and Teacher.  The manifestation of the Teacher signifies initiation of the shortest path.  To reject the Lord is to betray oneself.        -M:  Hierarchy 1931

605.  There is no salvation surer than that through devotion.  One can forgive much where there is unswerving devotion.  The man who is devoted in heart can be relied upon.  It is cause for rejoicing when Hierarchy is upheld by devotion.  At present it is especially needed.  If yesterday's confusion seemed enormous, what can one say of tomorrow’s?        -M:  Fiery World 1933

23.  The concept of the power of Grace will be a beautiful gift; only the best striving receives its recompense.  The criterion of the best is understood as conformity with the highest principle; a cord will be stretched from one thing to another--left untaut the string hangs loose in space.     -M:  Aum 1936

44.  Our vigil would not be unswerving if we were influenced by fear.     -M:  Supermundane 1, 1938

Precipitation is necessary in order to have a golden age--including especially Chinese green tinged with gold and yellow, the flame of illumination focused by Confucius and Lord Lanto.                  -Messenger E C Prophet

In coming to the Royal Teton Retreat many purposes are served, notably that many of the evolutions of ancient China have reembodied here in America.  These ones are the quiet Buddhic souls, the diligent ones, the ones who have also laid the foundation of the family in America and of the basic loyalty of the family, the code of ethics, the gentleness, the sweetness and the desire for learning as the means to God-awareness….They have come for an embodiment that their wisdom might be fired with freedom, that they might assist in the grand turn of the centuries whereby the mechanization of a false materialism might be turned about and there might manifest instead an etherealization, a spirituality, a conquering of self, of society and of the energies of time and space.

The Shrine of Glory is the etheric retreat of the Goddess of Light in the Andes.  This retreat emits a glow of soft white light with the seven rays delicately filtering through.  One enters through a portal graced by four pillars. The Greek-like architecture is actually Atlantean.  We enter a great hall hewn out of the mountain and there is a fountain emitting the radiance of the Goddess of Light.  We descend six steps and enter a marble hall fifty feet high with doorways on either side leading to classrooms and council halls where members of the Brotherhood meet.

Hanging from the vaulted ceiling is a large chandelier made of white diamonds that reflects the flame of light focused here by the Brotherhood serving with the Goddess of Light.  Wearing robes of white these brothers and sisters work with the pure white light, the precipitation of the elixir, the action of the light rays and direction of their currents throughout nature and the evolutions of the planet.  The vibration of light is so intense in this retreat that noise does not register and only pure emanations that come forth through the throat chakras of those who serve here are audible.  In the same manner all discordant vibrations--thoughts and feelings--are filtered by the intensity of the lightwaves, and only harmony is sustained within the retreat.      -Messengers M and E Prophet:  The Masters and Their Retreats, S.
