III, vi, 5. Humanly it is easy to understand how disagreeable our community is to some; one does not have to be a wizard to imagine how some are attempting to bar the path. But these enemies are not yours nor ours; they are enemies of enlightenment, inevitable and persistent. Therefore we advise you to take things as they are and not to be afraid of excessive burden. -Leaves of Morya's Garden 1925
222, 254. It is also necessary to understand that during joint labor the modes of expression are generalized, the hieroglyph of understanding is deepened....
When you meet with a valuable object on the road covered with mud you do not pass haughtily by. You pick up your find and cleanse the mud from it. Likewise when you encounter a valuable man covered with mire you interrupt your pace and endeavor to cleanse him. It is the duty of the community member to affirm justice. The Teaching cannot reject true values; community cannot deliberate as to whether he is ours or he is not ours-- community says that either he is valuable for evolution or he is not. The most severe choice is that according to essence. Austere goal-fitness obliges one to preserve true treasures; lose not time in defending values; each hour counts. And reject expressions of uncertainty--each value is to you as sail to ship. -M: Community 1926
469. When you are with us, surrounded by our blue sparks, all is attainable. But our rays must not be violated. There is a special time when unity of your power with ours is needed to traverse the abyss. -M: Agni Yoga 1929
492. When we proceed along the path of ascent confide your hands to ours. Hasten to the summit of the heart. ...now we will affirm the qualities of heart and give proof of them in life. Strain your energy for the glory of the Lord solemnly and courageously! -M: Heart 1932
464. Each solemnity is already a union with Fire; who then can overcome you? Against us no one is strong. Yet we love battle--otherwise it is converted into torment. Let there be found patience greater than ours! But darkness is impatient, in this it is finite. Labor is in everything, and battle is already an affirmation of labor. Affirmation is courage, therefore we are so concerned about it. -M: Fiery World 1935
185. It is also said that man succeeds when he fuses with the higher will. People assume that the power of their Teacher is limited, but each Teacher has his own Teacher, and the higher will is the harmony of many consciousnesses. When we say "Let us build the future" we mean that your will should be harmonized with ours. Even the loftiest structure can fall when the earthly will tries to damage the foundation! -M: Supermundane 1, 1938
369, 415. through the centuries we have become sufficiently aware of the turning of the Wheel of Life. We understand that in motion much is consumed, even huge meteors are burned away, yet some of them succeed in carrying their diamonds to Earth. Only a calm understanding of earthly processes can reveal the whole range of accumulated knowledge....Urusvati knows that every teacher may find himself in a position similar to ours. As long as he simply instructs in the fundamentals of life he will be listened to and agreed with, but as soon as he appeals to people to actually apply his precepts the listeners disperse. Such is the fate of much of our advice.
-M: Supermundane 2, 1938
