Following one’s own inherent higher nature

Following one’s own inherent higher nature or star of hope and overcoming victory is a little troublesome once a world has fallen into disarray, maya, delusion.
To be conscientious is not the work of a 5-second flippancy.  There is a longterm side to life.  Life is not a driverless car, an automatic-operating program run by some elite.  To do dharma or the inner life of overcoming requires a good deal of the matador rather than only being a doormat--one will have to learn basics thoroughly rather than go the broadway of superficial, appearance-level, legalistic/sophist con-jobbing of life.

Ramakrishna recited the story of a creature whose entrails at last were used as musical instrument strings for the music of life, for liberation rather than for the wearisome merry-go-round.                 -r, mt. shasta
