Meanwhile the managing partner in the Rosemont group, Devon Archer (who Heinz knew from Yale) was selling a Native American tribe in N.Y. 60 million dollars worth of fraudulent securities. He was charged with conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud. Goolsbee in room 234 of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building at around 4:00 p.m., proceeded to a tour of the White House and then returned their I.D. badges by 5:00 p.m. The meeting was never publicized,…but there was one thread that connected everyone present that day: they were all members of Yale's storied, elite secret society, Skull and Bones.
The secret society doesn't release the names of its members, referred to as "Bonesmen," but the Ivy League gossip blog IvyGate regularly has the roster leaked to them. 10-15-20 The New York Post also obtained an "Attorney Engagement Letter" between Hunter and one of Ye's "top lieutenants." Former Hong Kong government official Chi Ping Patrick Ho became the deputy chairman and secretary general of China Energy Fund Committee. In September 2017, Ho reportedly agreed to pay Biden a $1 million retainer for "Counsel to matters related to US law and advice pertaining to the hiring and legal analysis of any US Law Firm or Lawyer."
In March 2019, the Department of Justice announced that Ho was sentenced to serve 36 months in prison for "his role in a multi-year, multimillion-dollar scheme to bribe top officials of Chad and Uganda in exchange for business advantages for CEFC China Energy Company Limited ('CEFC China')."
In December 2019, Ho was convicted of violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, money-laundering, and conspiracy to commit the same. Ho reportedly bribed high-ranking government officials in Africa for oil rights in Chad and lucrative business deals in Uganda.
"Patrick Ho bribed officials at the highest levels of government in Chad and Uganda in pursuit of lucrative oil deals and other business opportunities, all while using a U.S.-based NGO to conceal his criminal scheme," Assistant Attorney General Benczkowski said. "This kind of corruption undermines world markets and tilts the playing field against law-abiding companies and individuals. The Department will continue to investigate and prosecute individuals and corporations that engage in foreign bribery."

In December 2016 the FBI busted a China General nuclear engineer, Szuhsiung “Allen” Ho, for conspiring to help China illegally obtain “sensitive nuclear technology” from within the US.
Other deals mentioned in the film include BHR’s 2017 agreement with the China Molybdenum Co. 9-11-20 BHR played a vital role in facilitating the sale of the Michigan-based auto parts maker Henniges Automotive to one of China's main military aircraft makers, Aviation Industry Corporation of China or AVIC….this June the Pentagon listed the entire AVIC conglomerate on a list of companies subject to future sanctions because of its ties to the People's Liberation Army. The Department of State, then under Mr. Kerry's leadership, is also a CFIUS member and played a direct role in the decision to approve the Henniges transaction. The appearance of potential conflicts in this case is particularly troubling given Mr. Biden's and Mr. Heinz's history of investing in and collaborating with Chinese companies, including at least one posing significant national security concerns."
Hunter Biden's BHR fund also made an investment in 2014 in the China General Nuclear Power Corp., China's largest nuclear power company. In 2016, the company was charged along with a nuclear engineer named Szuhsiung "Allen" Ho for conspiring to help China illegally obtain "sensitive and controlled" nuclear technology from within the United States. Ho, a naturalized American citizen, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison.
AVIC was sanctioned on five separate occasions since 1993 for activities ranging from violating the Arms Export Control Act and proliferating missile technology in Pakistan to multiple violations related to trafficking missile and other military technology to Iran. In 2014, one AVIC subsidiary was added to the Obama-Biden Commerce Department "Entity List" indicating that AVIC was on the short list for potential sanctions months before the 2015 CFIUS decision now under scrutiny by Senator Grassley. AVIC was reportedly involved in stealing sensitive data regarding the Joint Strike Fighter program. AVIC later reportedly incorporated the stolen data into China's J-20 and J‑31 aircraft," the senator wrote.
More recently the Pentagon in June identified AVIC as one of several Chinese state-owned firms assisting the People's Liberation Army in building Beijing's military supremacy.
During the Obama years, Hunter Biden held an ownership stake in and a board seat on BHR. On Sept. 15, 2015, the hedge firm announced the completion of the acquisition of Henniges Automotive, which gave AVIC 51% control and BHR 49%. The $600 million acquisition was one of the largest Chinese takeovers of an American automotive company in history, topping AVIC's 2010 takeover of Michigan-based Nexteer Automotive for $440 million. The purchase also revealed a pattern of Chinese state-backed takeovers of sensitive American companies which included China's controversial purchase of A123 Systems for $256.6 million in 2013 after the Obama-Biden CFIUS approved the deal.
