The President said it "wouldn't bother" him "at all" if the FBI interviewed all three of Kavanaugh's accusers, while also adding he'd heard Swetnick has "very little credibility.”
Avenatti, who represents Swetnick, on Monday told Business Insider the Trump administration is "afraid" of what his client might say and rejected the notion her allegations aren't credible.
"The investigation is a farce and is being run by Donald Trump. They obviously are afraid of what my client might say, which is why they are avoiding her," Avenatti said. Earlier this week Julie Swetnick, a federal government employee who claims she moved in the same social circles as Judge Kavanaugh, released a sworn statement that she saw him and Mr. Judge drink to excess at many parties, that Judge Kavanaugh was verbally abusive and physically aggressive toward young women at those parties, fondling and grabbing them, and that he was part of a group of young men who would spike the punch with alcohol or drugs in order to incapacitate and rape the women.
Mr. Judge’s former girlfriend, Elizabeth Rasor, has also said that she would be willing to testify to the F.B.I. that Mr. Judge is lying when he says he can’t recall any incidents like this. She said he once told her “ashamedly” about a time when he and other boys took turns having sex with a drunken girl. She said he seemed to think it was consensual….
