Self-determination, responsiibiility, discipline--it all begins with the family unit. However we can see in a broad survey the actual and attempted lifting out from the family unit toward either state monopoly or corporate monopoly of self-determination, responsibility and discipline. Here follows 6 major players in this whole dynamic of education. -r, mt. shasta, ca
1) As an agency not represented in the President's cabinet, Federal Education quickly became a relatively minor bureau in the Department of the Interior. In 1939, the bureau was transferred to the Federal Security Agency, where it was renamed the Office of Education. In 1953, the Federal Security Agency was upgraded to cabinet-level status as the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.
In 1979, President Carter advocated for creating a cabinet-level Department of Education.[13] Carter's plan was to transfer most of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare's education-related functions to the Department of Education.[13] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_Education

2) The NEA, National Education Association of the United States, (hq at Washington, D.C.) is the largest professional interest group in the United States.[2]
It represents public school teachers and other support personnel, faculty and staffers at colleges and universities, retired educators, and college students preparing to become teachers…Originally on the conservative side of U.S. politics, by the 1970s emerged as a factor in modern liberalism.[7] While the NEA has a stated position of "non-partisan", it typically supports the Democratic Party.[8] Conservatives, libertarians, and parents' rights groups have criticized the NEA's liberal positions.[9] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Education_Association

3) The Global Education First Initiative (GEFI) is led by United Nations Secretary-General United Nations Ban Ki-moon. Launched in September 2012, the initiative gathers a broad spectrum of world leaders and advocates who all aspire to use the transformative power of education to build a better future for all.
The Initiative's three main priorities are to:
1. Put every child in school;
2. Improve the quality of learning;
3. Foster global citizenship http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/pdf/The%20Global%20Education%20First%20Initiative.pdf

4) Clinton Global Initiative (NY)

In 2010, Bill Clinton made a deal that drew him closer to some of the most high-powered investors in the world, including the private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Citigroup, hedge fund managers Steven Cohen and George Soros and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.
Under the arrangement, the former US president would serve for five years as honorary chancellor of Laureate International Universities, a global network of for-profit institutions of higher education that had been taken private in 2007 in a $3.8bn leveraged buyout by its founder Douglas Becker and the KKR-led consortium.
Mr. Clinton’s duties included providing advice on “issues like social responsibility, youth leadership and civic engagement” and visiting 19 campuses in 14 countries, Laureate’s website says. His pay exceeded $16.5m — or more on an annualised basis than the president of Harvard University. https://www.ft.com/content/83878190-4b64-11e6-88c5-db83e98a590a

6) …the devotees who must come home are those who will carry the matter-discipline by taking their place in government, in the economy, in science and in the field of education where there are such deplorable conditions as the very children themselves have been seized with the entities which are called anti-Buddha.
The rebellious entities of chaos that have entered the schools and caused such crisis, such rebellion against the teachers, against authority and against learning--they are the anti-Buddha entities. And I desire that you should make calls unto the Lord God for the binding of these discarnates, for they are causing the anti-Mother energies of chaos and confusion to take from the children of light the necessary education which would prepare them to take their place in the future…
Let us decree for the teachers and let them be cut free from the diabolical doctrines that have been put forth through the NEA for over a century now; and I refer to those doctrines that reserve to the teachers the supreme right of determining the educational philosophy when that right belongs alone to the parents who represent Alpha and Omega. But I say, shame upon the parents who have not shown concern for the textbooks and the education of the little children, who have not then come en masse and demanded their voice and their vote in the communities and in the decisions that are made by school boards.
Beloved ones, to be a parent means to sponsor the wisdom and the culture of wisdom of the Buddha and the Mother for your children. Why do you then assign this to others who have not the authority because they have not borne your children? I say, then the teachers are hired by the parents who pay their taxes to the government and who have the supreme right to determine how and where their children shall be educated….
There cannot be a lesser treatment of any part of life, and it always is the most recent comers to the nation that seem to be on the bottom of the totem pole economically, socially. Beloved ones, we see the divine plan for the elevation of individuals who have been abused--whether black, whether white, whether Chinese, whether from Eastern European nations. Beloved ones, the way to restore equality is not by the abuse of children, it is not by the destruction of the family, the neighborhood or the community, but it is by the infusion of these neighborhoods with souls of light who will help to elevate and to give to those souls who are not economically privileged a greater opportunity educationally and in the song of the Spirit to develop self-worth.
