5-4-20 The Telegraph has obtained two photographs of
Dr. Shi Zhengli working at the CSIRO laboratories, including in the level-four lab, in 2006 (later followed by 2 more from WIV, who also work at Singapore’s Duke-NUS Medical School,). The CSIRO refused to respond to questions from the Saturday Telegraph about how much money went into joint research collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Science and its Wuhan Institute of Virology. The Wuhan Institute still lists the CSIRO as a partner while the US has cut ties since the coronavirus outbreak.
The argument is whether it is worth developing these viruses to anticipate and prevent a pandemic when a leak of the virus could also cause one. Debate in the scientific community is heated.

At present the Chinese people are united as one in their resolute fight against COVID-19. Encouraging news is coming from the front line and data shows that the turning point seems to be drawing near.
However, rumors about the origin of the novel coronavirus are going viral in the meantime….
On February 15, news came on Weibo, China's Twitter-like service, that the COVID-19 patient zero was Huang Yanling, a graduate student from Wuhan Institute of Virology. Again, it went viral in no time. In response, Huang's supervisor Wei Hongping said (on 2-16) "Huang Yanling has been working in another city since her graduation in July 2015. I called her and confirmed that she is in good health and everything is fine.”…
On February 19 the WHO once again announced at a press conference, "there is no evidence it (the virus) was produced in a lab or as a biological weapon." This should be regarded the most authoritative response in the world.

5-16-20 Among dozens of other competitors contacted by the MoS, some said they had been told not to comment.
Oliver Gorges, a triathlete from Luxembourg, said he became ill with flu-like symptoms and is now to undergo an antibody test this week to discover if he had contracted the coronavirus. “It was a ghost town. There were rumours that the government warned the inhabitants not to go out.”
Many other athletes at the Games commented on intense cleaning measures put in place in Wuhan, with almost 250,000 volunteers assisting the events. Gorges, 22, had his temperature recorded on arrival at the airport, while athletes were forced to wash their hands every time they entered the canteen and were ordered not to take food out of the premises. "It was strange," he added.
