3 foreign-owned companies got the contracts to remove the rubble of 9-11 WTC

9-9-21

Sen. Tuberville (R-AL) wants to ask generals if they went along with President Joe Biden's plan to pull troops out of the country before all U.S. citizens and all Afghans who aided U.S. forces had safely left why they did rather than offering their resignations.

"We've got to find the answers. We've got to get to the bottom of it," Tuberville said.  "What in the world are we thinking?  That's not the American way.  I spent last week in Europe, Ukraine, talking to our allies. They're all going, 'What in the world is going on in the United States of America?'"

Tuberville acknowledged that the United States has other problems to deal with as well but added, "This was a total, total screw-up."

Someone has to be held accountable,  Tuberville said, and only face-to-face meetings will allow such questions to be asked.  He slammed "woke" generals (including the two at the top of Pentagon, Carter and Milley) who he said are more interested in social engineering and critical race theory than teaching their troops to fight to defend the country.  ”We need to get away from this woke stuff," he said.  "We need a military.  We need a fighting machine.  And we need to protect the people in this country."  https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/tuberville-afghanistan-testimony/2021/09/09/id/1035768/

8-5-21  Now, Poses thinks, it might make sense to bring production back--at least to Mexico, if not the United States--to protect him from the risks of relying on factories an ocean away in China.  “I’m willing to make smaller margins,” he said, “if it means less anxiety.”

Other American companies are making similar calculations:  52% of the U.S. manufacturing executives surveyed by the consulting firm Kearney said they have started buying more supplies in the United States in response to COVID-related supply disruptions.  Forty-seven percent said they plan to reduce reliance on supplies or factories from a single country; 41% specifically said they wanted to cut their dependence on China.  https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden-business-health-coronavirus-pandemic-global-trade-a8992e7141013f0164d04476d637f0c5

1-23-2002  Baosteel was one of the first companies in the world to contact the United States about the scrap and consequently made a good deal.  It bought 50,000 tons of steel scrap at a price of "less than $120 per ton," the newspaper quoted Baosteel executives as saying.  It did not give an exact price figure.  The steel is to be baled into large cubes for shipping and could be used to make office furniture and filing cabinets.

India scrap dealers have already ordered four steel consignments.  Two 33,000-ton consignments have already arrived in the southern port of Madras, a third is on its way and a fourth would arrive soon at the west coast port of Kandla.  The scrap was bought at $120 per ton and is to be recycled into ingots to be sold to various industries, including construction.  https://edition.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/asiapcf/east/01/23/china.wtcsteel/

December 25, 2001:     "In calling for a new investigation some structural engineers have said that one serious mistake has already been made in the chaotic aftermath of the collapses: the decision to rapidly recycle the steel columns, beams and trusses that held up the buildings.  That may have cost investigators some of their most direct physical evidence with which to try to piece together an answer.

"Officials in the Mayor's office declined to reply to written and oral requests for comment over a three-day period about who decided to recycle the steel and the concern that the decision might be handicapping the investigation.

"'The city considered it reasonable to have recovered structural steel recycled,' said Matthew G. Monahan, a spokesman for the city's Department of Design and Construction, which is in charge of debris removal at the site."  -Bill Manning, "$elling Out the Investigation,"  -Fire Engineering, January 2002:

"For more than three months structural steel from the World Trade Center has been and continues to be cut up and sold for scrap. Crucial evidence that could answer many questions about high-rise building design practices and performance under fire conditions is on the slow boat to China, perhaps never to be seen again in America until you buy your next car.

"Such destruction of evidence shows the astounding ignorance of government officials to the value of a thorough, scientific investigation of the largest fire-induced collapse in world history.  I have combed through our national standard for fire investigation, NFPA 921, but nowhere in it does one find an exemption allowing the destruction of evidence for buildings over 10 stories tall."   https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Destruction_of_Evidence_from_Ground_Zero_at_the_World_Trade_Center

WHY DID foreign companies manage the 9-11 debris removal?

June 14, 2019   by Chris Bollyn

The removal of rubble from the destroyed World Trade Center is portrayed by the media as a heroic and patriotic effort when, in fact, behind the media disguise was a well-planned operation to destroy the evidence from the scene of the crime in which some 2,700 people were murdered.  If it was a criminal act to destroy the evidence, we need to identify the people behind the crime.

Howard Safir, the former Police Commissioner of New York City, is very close with the Israeli intelligence company Verint, which (like Odigo) was part of Comverse, an Israeli operation spun off from unit 8200 of the Israeli military.  Safir, who was Police Commissioner until 2000, has been on Verint's board of directors since May 2002.  Verint is one of the two Israeli companies that James Bamford identified in his article "Shady Companies With Ties to Israel Wiretap the U.S. for the NSA."

As Safir prepared to join the Israeli data company, Richard Sheirer, his long-time deputy and personal aide, wrapped up his work as the commissioner of New York's Office of Emergency Management, the top official responsible for cleaning up the destroyed World Trade Center.  Is there a connection between his mentor's work with Israeli intelligence and Sheirer's work on "the pile?" Is this why Sheirer said it was "very valuable to be invisible for the job I do?"  Why should it be necessary to be "invisible" if what was being done with the debris from the crime scene was proper?  Former Police Commissioner Howard Safir--Safir's crony, Richard Sheirer, was in charge of the cleanup operation at the World Trade Center.  Safir has been on the board of directors of a shady Israeli company called Verint, since May 2002.  Is there a connection?  Did they throw away the locked doors from the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire?  Did they throw away the gas can used at the Happyland Social Club Fire?  Did they cast aside the pressure-regulating valves at the Meridian Plaza Fire?  Of course not.  But essentially that's what they're doing at the World Trade Center.

For more than three months structural steel from the World Trade Center has been and continues to be cut up and sold for scrap. Crucial evidence that could answer many questions about high-rise building design practices and performance under fire conditions is on the slow boat to China, perhaps never to be seen again in America until you buy your next car.  Such destruction of evidence shows the astounding ignorance of government officials to the value of a thorough, scientific investigation of the largest fire-induced collapse in world history.  I have combed through our national standard for fire investigation, NFPA 921, but nowhere in it does one find an exemption allowing the destruction of evidence for buildings over 10 stories tall.
-"Selling out the Investigation," Bill Manning, editor, Fire Engineering, Jan. 1, 2002  Imagine there is a terrible fire and explosion in a crowded high-rise in the middle of a large American city in which thousands of people are thought to have perished.  Before the dead can be even be pulled from the rubble or the cause of the destruction investigated, the city calls in a privately owned foreign company to remove the debris.  Would it not seem a bit odd - even criminal - to see a foreign company removing the evidence from the scene before an investigation had even begun?

As Bill Manning, the editor of Fire Engineering wrote at the end of 2001, "I have combed through our national standard for fire investigation, NFPA 921, but nowhere in it does one find an exemption allowing the destruction of evidence for buildings over 10 stories tall."

"Such destruction of evidence," Manning said, "shows the astounding ignorance of government officials to the value of a thorough, scientific investigation of the largest fire-induced collapse in world history."

But was it really "astounding ignorance" that was obstructing "a thorough, scientific investigation of the largest fire-induced collapse in world history" - or was it something even worse?  Was the obstruction of an investigation planned and intentional - because an investigation would have revealed that it was explosive demolitions and not fire-induced collapses that destroyed the World Trade Center?

What is even more peculiar is that the companies that were contracted on Day One to remove the rubble of the three demolished towers were all foreign owned.  This raises several questions:  Why was the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers not called in the first place to manage the World Trade Center and Pentagon sites?  Why were foreign companies allowed to destroy the evidence from the crime scenes in which thousands of people had been killed?  Who made the decision to hire these companies?

It would be naive to think it is merely coincidence that three foreign-owned companies got the contracts to remove the rubble of the three demolished towers of 9-11, effectively destroying the physical evidence of the worst mass murder in U.S. history.  Knowing who was behind the decision to hire these foreign companies is key to understanding the 9-11 cover up.  The WTC debris site was divided between four contracters with the sites of the three demolished towers all going to foreign-owned companies.  Amec, from Britain (blue) got the North Tower and Customs House (WTC 6); Bovis, also from Britain (green) got the South Tower area; Turner, owned by Hochtief from Germany (yellow) got WTC 7, and Tully, the only American company (pink) got WTC 4 and 5.  This means that the three buildings that were demolished (WTC 1,2, and 7)--crime scenes of the worst mass murder in U.S. history - were all cleaned up by foreign-owned companies.

William Langewiesche, a journalist who was given access to the World Trade Center site, wrote a book about the recovery effort entitled American Ground:  Unbuilding the World Trade Center, in which he says that Michael Burton, the deputy commissioner of the New York City's Dept. of Design and Construction, made the decision who would be involved in removing the debris from the World Trade Center.  Burton understood this early... he and Holden imposed a rough order on the site by dividing it into quadrants, roughly equal zones that he assigned to four large construction companies:  Turner, AMEC, Bovis, and Tully.  The first three were essentially management teams--multinational corporations in the high-rise construction business, which had little equipment of their own and relied on other contractors to get the work done. (American Ground, p. 68)

Faced with the urgent need to get crews and heavy equipment onto the job, he [Michael Burton] bypassed ordinary bidding procedures and made some immediate choices on the basis of personal and corporate reputation, asking AMEC, Bovis, and Turner to send representatives to an initial meeting that afternoon at police headquarters. Holden brought in Tully as well. As it turned out, these were the four companies that ultimately would share the lucrative job of cleaning up, earning profits in the millions... Holden and Burton also brought in the renowned engineering firm of Thornton-Tomasetti. (American Ground, p. 89-90)

Above Burton and Holden at the DDC was Richard Sheirer, the commissioner of New York City's Office of Emergency Management (OEM).

-Richard Sheirer, head of the Office of Emergency Management, and Mayor Giuliani

In a New York magazine article entitled "Man Behind the Mayor" Amanda Griscom wrote:  Since September 11, Sheirer has taken charge of the biggest cleanup effort in American history, coordinating 100 federal, state and local agencies, including FEMA.  He’s become, in effect, the CEO of a company with thousands of workers and a budget that could run up to $40 billion--or, if you prefer, the mayor of the hot zone.  He calls in the city’s Department of Transportation to patch up the streets and has the Department of Design and Construction hang netting so broken glass won’t fall on workers below. He orders Con Ed and Verizon to rehabilitate buildings without power or phone service, then gets the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Design and Construction to make sure they’re safe.  If they pass the test, he signs the documents that open them up to the public. “OEM is in charge,” says Mike Byrne, deputy federal coordinating officer of FEMA for this incident. “Sheirer gives the marching orders. So far, we’re blown away by OEM’s performance.”

"One of the things I pride myself on," says Sheirer, "is that, for a short, round guy, I can be pretty invisible.  I think it's very valuable to be invisible for the job I do. It's important to me to be prepared, to get in, get it done, and get out. My people understand--we don't need fanfare. Invisibility enhances our ability to work with everyone because they know we're not looking to take the limelight."

The Jewish Week reported that Sheirer had been named a "Jewish Knight" by the New York Board of Rabbis.  Saying it was "correcting what it called an 'oversight'," the Board of Rabbis "named Sheirer a 'Jewish Knight' after Britain lionized Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and then-Police and Fire Commissioners Bernard Kerik and Thomas Von Essen. Sheirer stayed on into the administration of Mayor Bloomberg, to manage the removal of the rubble saying he was doing so "to finish what I started."

Richard Sheirer had come up through the ranks thanks to Howard Safir, who promoted him in both the fire department and later in the police department.  As the New York Times obituary for Sheirer said:    He [Sheirer] began working for the Fire Department as a dispatcher in 1967 and rose to deputy commissioner under Commissioner Howard Safir.  In 1996 when Mr. Safir became police commissioner, he named Mr. Sheirer his deputy commissioner for administration and chief of staff.  In his book, NYPD Confidential: Power and Corruption in the Country's Greatest Police Force, Leonard Levitt said about Sheirer's relationship with Safir:  Sheirer had been a lowly fire dispatcher before Safir made him his personal aide at the FDNY. Sheirer called Safir "the kindest, bravest, most wonderful human being I've ever met in my life."  Richie Sheirer was, as Levitt says, "Safir's crony."

Howard Safir (born 1942) was appointed Fire Commissioner of the City of New York by Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani on January 1, 1994 and served in that position until he was appointed Police Commissioner of the City of New York by Giuliani on April 15, 1996. He served as Police Commissioner until his resignation on August 18, 2000.

Howard Safir has served as a director on the board of directors of the Israeli data/intelligence company Verint since May 2002.  See:  https://www.verint.com/our-company/executive-leadership/howard-safir/   Verint started as Comverse Technology's Comverse Infosys business unit, which was created in 1999.  Verint's initial focus was on the commercial call recording market, which at the time was transitioning from analog tape to digital recorders. In 1999, Comverse Infosys was combined with another division of Comverse focused on security and the communications interception market. In 2002, Comverse Infosys changed its name to Verint Systems Inc. (Source:  Verint, Wikipedia)

As James Bamford wrote in a 2012 article for Wired.com:  According to a former Verizon employee briefed on the program, Verint, owned by Comverse Technology, taps the communication lines at Verizon, which I first reported in my book The Shadow Factory in 2008.

What does Safir do for the Israeli owners of Verint as a director?  Did Safir play a role in the World Trade Center clean-up through his crony Richie Sheirer?   To be continued...       https://www.bollyn.com/#article_16236
