So Yeltsin on 1-24-1992 basically showed his commitment, though the early version of his course was on 5-5-1991. If Russia was actually reborn from the changes brought in by Gorbachev and Yeltsin and the mood in Russia, I think the latter date is a bit more emphatic than the 5-5-1991 date for reborn Russia. Or else Russia was not really reborn during Yeltsin at all. Perhaps the discovery of Novichok poisoning of Navalny is the rebirth date for Russia in reality. -r, mt. shasta
