Kenta Settles of Cleveland case

black man, 28, spent 5 months in prison for 'assaulting' two cops before bodycam footage revealed a group of officers beat, tased and taunted him after arresting him for no reason

• Kenta Settles, 28, of Cleveland, suffers from bipolar and schizophrenia disorders
• Video shows him being beaten, tased and taunted during his January 23 arrest  
• Settles was stopped by cops on Turney Road while walking but it's unclear why 
• He was immediately detained without being told what crime he committed 
• Within a matter of seconds he was tackled to the ground by the two officers 
• Settles was then shot in the back with a Taser and repeatedly struck by the cops
• He was charged with assaulting a peace officer and obstructing official business
• Settles was jailed on a $250,000 bond and spent five months in prison 
• He was released June 8 after judge saw video and granted him a personal bond
