And finally came the betrayal of Pilate himself who although he washed his hands of the blood of the innocent man yet released Barabbas and allowed the seed of the Wicked One to crucify him. In this scene we see the betrayal of the Christ by the mass consciousness, even the multitude, the great multitude of the people who would one day stand on the west gate of the City Foursquare awaiting the coming of the emissaries of the Lord in the hour of their own redemption by his light.
