EMP attack; The main thing in this process is to intimidate a huge number of people.

1-27-21  With the United States waking up to the threat posed to the electric grid and electronics from cyberwarfare Russia is mastering systems that can already overcome the latest protections….Proponents of preparing for an EMP attack believe that Russia, China, North Korea and Iran see the U.S. as an easy target and one that could quickly be brought to its knees because so much of the economy relies on electricity, communications and the internet, all of which would cease in an attack.

In his new report on Russia, Pry provided details in advancements in EMP warfare, or “cybergeddon,” Moscow has pushed, including a new weapon and high-speed delivery.  Unlike conventional warfare, he said that EMP weapons are exploded high enough up in the atmosphere to wipe out the electric grids and computers in huge sections of the country.  The outages could last over a year.

He said enemy nations with the weapons “could black out North America and NATO Europe and win World War III at the speed of light.” https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/new-grid-threat-russia-deploys-first-strike-weapon-china-ready-too

Last week the EMP Task Force on National and Homeland Security issued a scary report on China’s ability to conduct an Electromagnetic Pulse attack on the United States. The key takeaway, according to Dr. Peter Pry, executive director of the task force, is that China now has super-EMP weapons, knows how to protect itself against an EMP attack and has developed protocols to conduct a first-strike attack, even as they deny they would ever do so.

According to the Center for Strategic International Studies, China has the most active ballistic missile development program in the world, so this is doubly troubling. China used stolen U.S. technology to develop at least three types of high-tech weapons to attack the electric grid and key technologies that could cause a surprise attack that could produce a deadly blackout to the entire country.

Dr. Pry outlines how China has built a network of satellites, high-speed missiles, and super-electromagnetic pulse weapons that could melt down our electric grid, fry critical communications, and even takeout the ability of our aircraft carrier groups to respond.

6-18-20  non-expert bureaucrats conduct endless studies and conferences to wrangle over technical issues — in effect, reinventing the wheel regarding EMP — that were resolved long ago by real EMP experts.  The “coordination process” for national EMP preparedness is the same kind of bureaucratic fumbling that Washington regards as “action,” which gave us the biological warfare unpreparedness and inability to properly respond to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hopefully the U.S. Navy is better prepared to cope with an EMP attack than are DOE and DHS.  A nuclear EMP attack against U.S. aircraft carriers is the key to victory in China’s military doctrine, as noted in a Feb. 12, 2000, article in the official newspaper of the Shanghai Communist Party Central Committee:

“The weak points of a modern aircraft carrier are: 1) As a big target, the fleet is easy for a satellite to reconnoiter and locate. … 2) A high degree of electronization is like an Achilles’ heel for an aircraft carrier fleet, which relies heavily on electronic equipment as its central nervous system. These two characteristics determine one tactic.” Therefore military strategist Ye Jian said in the article in Jiefang Ribao: “The possession of electromagnetic pulse bombs (missiles) will provide the conditions to completely destroy an aircraft carrier fleet, and the way to complete victory in dealing with aircraft carrier fleets.”

In March 2020, a panel of China’s military experts threatened to punish U.S. Navy ships for challenging China’s illegal annexation of the South China Sea by making an EMP attack--one of the options they considered least provocative because the crew would be unharmed but most effective because the ship would be disabled.  Now three U.S. aircraft carriers are in the Pacific to challenge China’s aggression in the South China Sea.    https://thehill.com/opinion/national-security/503252-chinas-surprise-years-in-the-planning-an-emp-attack

9-18-2019  The electrical grid

HV (high voltage) transformers—transmitting voltages

of greater than 100 kV—are what make it possible to

send electricity over great distances to thousands of sub-

stations, where smaller transformers reduce the voltage.

HV transformers are the weak link in the system, and

the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has

identified 30 of these as being critical. The simultaneous

loss of just 9, in various combinations, could cripple the

network and lead to a cascading failure, resulting in a

coast-to coast blackout”[3].

If the HV transformers are irreparably damaged it is

problematic whether they can be replaced.  The great

majority of these units are custom built.  The lead time

between order and delivery for a domestically

manufactured HV transformer is between 12 and 24 months [4],

and this is under benign, low demand conditions. …

   E1 and its effects

The E1 pulse (fast pulse) is due to gamma radiation

(photons), generated by a nuclear detonation at high alti-

tude, colliding with atoms in the upper atmosphere. The

collisions cause electrons to be stripped from the atoms,

with the resultant flow of electrons traveling downward to

earth at near the speed of light. The interaction of the

electrons with the earths magnetic field turns the flow

into a transverse current that radiates forward as an in-

tense electromagnetic wave. The field generates extremely

high voltages and current in electrical conductors that can

exceed the voltage tolerance of many electronic devices.

All this occurs within a few tens of nanoseconds….

Shielding against E1 could theoretically be accomplished

through the construction of a Faraday cage around spe-

cific components or an entire facility. The cage is com-

posed of conductive materials and an insulation barrier

that absorbs pulse energy and channels it directly into the

ground. The cage shields out the EM signals by shorting

out”the electric field and reflecting it.

To be an effective Faraday cage, the conductive case

must totally enclose the system. Any aperture, even

microscopic seams between metal plates, can

compromise the protection. To be useful, however, a

device must have some connection with the outside

world and not be completely isolated. Surge protect-

ive devices can be used on metallic cables to prevent

large currents from entering a device, or the metallic

cables can be replaced by fiber optic cables without

any accompanying metal. The US Military has taken

extensive measures to protect (“harden”)itsequip-

ment against E1. “On the civilian side, the problem

has not really been addressed”[42]….

Space constraints preclude discussion on how the loss

of the grid would render synthesis and distribution of oil

and gas inoperative. Telecommunications would

collapse, as would finance and banking. Virtually all

technology, infrastructure, and services require electricity.

An EMP attack that collapses the electric power grid

will collapse the water infrastructurethe delivery and

wastewater and sewage. Outbreaks that would result

from the failure of these systems include

cholera.  It is problematic if fuel will be available to boil water.

Lack of water will cause death in 3 to 4 days [68].

Food production would also collapse.  Crops and live-

stock require water delivered by electronically powered

pumps.  Tractors, harvesters, and other farm equipment

run on petroleum products supplied by an infrastructure

(pumps, pipelines) that require electricity.  The plants

that make fertilizer, insecticides and feed also require elec-

tricity.  Gas pumps that fuel the trucks that distribute food

require electricity.

“It's easy to lock me up.  The main thing in this process is to intimidate a huge number of people, this is how it works.  They are putting one person behind bars to scare millions,”

Navalny said in his closing statement before sentencing, dressed in a dark blue hoodie and speaking from a glass cell inside the Moscow City Court.

166.  Is it possible to judge conduct without knowing cause and effect?  Then a savior will appear to be an offender, and a giver will seem a miser.  But it is not easy to establish in the consciousness selflessness—individuality is unavoidable.  And the blending in of selflessness can take place only with a clear realization of the future.  Selflessness is not built on past experience; only a true perception of the future can mold an inner judgment about the boundaries of the possible.

82.  Ask people how persistently follow not only the evil but even unsuccessful thoughts and deeds.  The path of life is surrounded by the signs of actions revealed as uneradicated spots; therefore it is so wise to strive into the future.  In this flight one has no time to sully the white wings.

444.  First, one should sense the great battle and the threatening peril which gathers over Earth. Second, one should regard one's own heart as a refuge.  And third, one should be affirmed upon Hierarchy. It would seem that these conditions are not difficult.  But so often we prefer deviations and even prefer deceit rather than to turn to the simplest ways.  -M:  Heart 1932
